The other morning I was intrigued by a cat sitting on a wall in the early morning. A bird kept flying in close proximity to the cat, who acted like he sort of wanted to catch the bird. However, the cat did not make much of a concerted effort to capture this bird. Believe me, I have had to rescue birds from my own cats year ago because I never liked to see a cat catch a bird. I know cats are predators by nature, but I actually think this cat and bird were socializing. It is as if they were playing a game and keeping each other company in the early hours of the morning.

Here is the picture I took of the same cat a year earlier. His silhouette and glowing eyes at twilight inspired the drawing I made for a Halloween pop-up card. As you can tell, I simply love photographing and drawing cats. These animals will always intrigue me.

I also created a video to demonstrate how I made the Halloween cat pop-up card. I might draw another picture of a cat on the wall in the near future, but for the mean time I just enjoy seeing him when he is perched up there.
